Nature can be scary. Thank goodness cars and trucks don't kill as many people as snakes do or you all would be real busy shooting every vehicle you see.

Be a lot of ammo you would have to buy and at these prices you would go broke.

I judge a man by his knowledge and personal fears of the outdoors. My father would have disowned me if I was as scared as some of you.

OK. I take it back because I really really want to be a man.

I am leery of stingrays. Is that fair?

I have made it a point to make little brother a competent, knowledgeable woodsman. He is 10.

There's a stout difference between being scared of something and respecting it for what it is.

I ain't scared of a snake, but I ain't picking up a copperhead and "slinging" it out of my path no more than I am walking up on a skunk to pet it. Pretty good odds of either getting bit or sprayed in each case.

Some of you paint this issue like a democrap vs. Repub battle, and you have to be in one camp or the other. It's either you are scared of a snake's shadow or you want to wrap the fucker around your neck and pretend to be Macho Man Savage.

How bout a little SC highway dept philosophy around here, let em work, let em live...

...that is unless they are slithering around me, then it's pew, pew pew. #'merica
