Ive got a mossberg 835 that I turkey hunt with and I want to camo it. Its black synthetic now. I only use it for turkey hunting so it doesnt have to be great. Has anyone ever actually painted one and if so what did you use to do it with and with what results.
Warning: The Surgeon General has determined that turkey hunting is an addictive activity that will disrupt normal sleep patterns!

i used the camo-clad camoflague system on my duck gun this year and i absolutely love it.....its really inexpensive,$15, and you can get it from cabelas or bass pro....they have a couple of different patterns available....another option is getting your gun "dipped" to get the factory look of camoflague.....i went ahead and spent $100 to get one of my guns dipped a few years back and its def worth the $$$ if u have the extra cash

i got it dipped at The Gun Doctor...it is located off of N. Live Oak Drive on 17-A....i believe that they have went up on their prices based on the demand for this service but they have not gone up that much..they are still the cheapest that ive ever heard of.....plus, they back it with a lifetime guarantee.....they have all kinds of patterns to choose from, including all the popular patterns....PM me if u want there phone number...i dont have it handy right this second

Will this "dipping" work with a RUSTy barrel?

yes it will....before the actual dipping takes place the barrel, receiver, and stocks are all "sanded" or "scuffed" in order for the primer and paint to stick better...this is to my knowledge....the gun that i took in already had a substantial amount of surface rust and it came out looking like it was brand new...trust me, this is THE BEST Way to go....you get what u pay for....it protects and conceals your gun...its def worth the money
