I hate to admit this, but over the past few years I've bought a couple of fly reels (and rods), and some came with good line on them and I bought some other line (Wonderline, etc). The compounding problem is that I haven't had a chance to get any fly fishing in, so I haven't been using my equipment and, thus, my memory recall has faded.
My problem is that I failed to post the notes I meant to in each reel pouch or on a sticker inside the reel, etc, as to what line was on what reel. That is... 4 wt. DT or WT... 5 Wt DT or WT... 6 Wt DT or WT, etc.
I should be able to unwind them and figure out the profile of the DT vs the WT lines, but how do I verify the 4 vs 5 vs 6 weight lines? The 4 vs 6 might be obvious, or at least measurable, but what about a 5 vs. 6?
Any suggestions... other than to have a good laugh at my expense?
