    Default 6/23 bluewater cherry popping

    Fished on a friend’s charter boat Saturday. He can catch anything as long as it's not more than 30 miles out. Ironically, he holds the SC bluefin tuna record but has never been dolphin fishing. After a few failed attempts at getting a trip together I decided it was past time to pop his cherry, and that we did. Ended up with 6 dolphin, 40 lbs of wahoo, several stud black seabass and a few b-liners. Lost another wahoo, several dolphin and dropped a sail after about 15 min of fighting. Most of our misses were due to operator error at the helm... I’d say by the end of the day were were all but dialed in though.
