I fish mainly Big Pee Dee river. We have had to go to using parachute cord and 10/0 hooks. We were having to many break offs. With the para cord we started catching the 60 pounders. Use live bream as bait.
Whats parachute cord?

Well, I\'m not a gynecologist but I\'ll take a look.
mirro is right about fork swamp. so many of them left in there over the years you have to be right careful riding the ATV. i have gotten hooked in the shoulder before thanks to an irresponsible Lugoff resident.
use them all you want, but PLEASE take them down.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I've caught them on shrimp, hotdogs, shad, herring, but the best I have found are Bream heads or live Bream. Always catch them better when the water is rising.
You guys better check the regs on using live bream you might get your feelings hurt and toof we just hunt fork swamp we fish the wateree. Why anyone would ride a four wheeler in the water is beyond me

KRT PARACHUTE CORD IS MILITARY CORD THAT IS AROUND 300LB TEST. THE KIND WITH 5 OR 7 STRANDS WORKS REAL WELL. YOU CAN GET FROM CHEAPER THAN DIRT OR AT FLEA MARKETS WHERE THEY SELL MILITARY ITEMS. SPIDER ON THE EDISTO, BLACK AND PEE DEE YOU ARE ALLOWED TO USE BREAM. ON A GOOD NIGHT WITH ABOUT 50 HOOKS OUT WE AVERAGE ABOUT 100 POUNDS OF FILLETED FISH AND A COUPLE OF EMPTY BOTTLES.
I remember now they allow whole bream to try and thin out the flatheads eating all the red breast.
Well, I\'m not a gynecologist but I\'ll take a look.
Sadly the flatheads ruined the Edisto Redbreast population.
The glory days with a white beetle spin with a red dot and a cricket on its back was the best.
There used to be some hot holes between Givhans and Jelicos.

I have no land and nothing but public water!!! Ya'll have seen what we caught so go ge em boys!!! They're out there!
Good to talk, see you out there!
I have heard about using Ivory soap for years but I have never tried it. Does it stay on the hook for awhile? Does it wash off quickly in the running water? I primarily use cut bait for the bush hooks, like Shad. How does the soap compare ?
