No need to charter a boat. All it takes is a bay boat. Mud Ugh and Tailchaser came down two years ago and went out on the beach in a High Tide Super V 16. I took my kayak down to St Augustine and fished the jetties at St Augustine inlet. Another month and that place will be loaded with tarpon. The trick down here is catching the weather when the winds lay down! If you're coming for tarpon don't forget we have an amazing king fish run on the beaches in the summer. Be ready for triple tail too. They have been everywhere lately in big numbers!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
