    Default Paw Question

My 8yo Black Dog has been favoring his paw lately so i checked it out lastnight and his pad seems to be dry and cracked. he has been constantly licking it and limps when he walks. i checked it over really well and there are no cuts or objects stuck in it. Not sure what to do to help it heal. any of y'all come across this before?

It happens to my lab from time to time.

Put some vaseline or something similar on it and keep him from licking it.

It'll heal up. If not, see your vet.

Your local pet store should have some pad conditioner to help heal and moisturize the pad to prevent excessive drying that may lead to cracking.
