    Default vestibular syndrome

My Decker Giat rat terrier had an episope last night. Eyes darting rapidly, she lost her balance like she was drunk. Vomited and then she was fine, lasted about ten minutes. I am calling the Vet this morning. Anyone had any experiance with this? thanks Budro

Creepy...I would've shown up on my vet's door step in the middle of the night.

Sounds almost like an inner ear issue, (at least it would in humans). I have no experience with this, sorry. Hope your pup is alright.

Could have been anything, epileptic seizure would be my first suspicion if she was fine after a few minutes. Not a vet, but from the quick research of VS, seen mostly in older dogs and doesn't have immediate recovery. Most times internet dx are not a good way to dx and can cause more confusion than needed. Your vet is your best resourse for dx, then research his/her dx for more info and look for sites that are vet/university based as there is a lot of misinformation out there. I'm not saying that a vet can't make a mistake, but they are better informed of the diseases than most
