I’m wanting to do a foliar application. This stand was burned three years ago and it knocked back a lot of gums but they are back. I want to kill them now and burn again next year.

Crossbow should do the trick. Add a surfactant and crop oil and they won't stand a chance.

Garlon (Triclopyr) at 2oz/gal and Arsenal (Imazapyr) at 2oz/gal with a good surfactant like crop oil at 1qt/100gals should do the trick.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
