    Default Leafy Jacket Comparison Help

I currently own a Nomad leafy jacket but am looking at the North Mountain Gear version.

Nothing wrong with the Nomad just a tad warm. Does anyone have experience with both for a comparison? I know a lot of people like the NMG. If “weight” is the same I’ll stick w what I have. I only wear it in certain circumstances anyway.

Never had the nomad but my north mountain gear leafy is a few years old. I like it

If you are looking for something lighter weight/not as hot, this ain’t it. For most of the season I just wear mine over a dark colored t shirt and still sweat my ass off

The sizing runs pretty big on the NMG

Looked at both and bought the NMG. I wear it a lot during turkey seasons.

North Mountain hands down. That pouch is perfect.

Hot or not, I don't leave the truck without mine bc I do believe they make a difference in hiding you

They aren't super hot. They have little holes throughout which helps let the air flow thru. I just throw on a dark shirt and a pair of shorts and I'm fine. Wear it for deer and turkey season. Had it about 3 or 4 yeses and it has held up way better than I could have ever expected.

Leafy Bug Tamer. Had one in MO Obsession for 20 plus years??? No what you asked about, but another option.

There ain’t a leafy out there that ain’t hot as far as I’m concerned with a vest over it. I like my north mountain jacket though as mentioned that pouch is nice.

    NMG for the win.

Gutpile is correct on the stealth aspect. They are great concealment.

I wear one (or a Bugtamer) during the hot days of early deer season. Wet it and put it in a ziplock back until you're at the stand and ready to wear it. Will keep you cool(er) for several hours.

I have t owned a nomad but the north mountain is awesome. As previously stated, they are hot, but anything is when it’s 90°!
