BUT, i will do what it takes. (within reason) i dont like tall grass and mosquitoes.

i hate turkeys but i love influencing people with my "season ending recap" thread.

I don’t see the argument. The last 2 weeks of the season has been the best weather we’ve had.

Best gobbling I have heard as well. Thankfully the wind has calmed.

i aint arguing. You cant argue with math or science.

My point being that its hotter, the grass is taller, and the mosquitoes are out. (in my hunting area)
I have enjoyed the earlier season dates. Cool mornings. Crisp air. more open woods. etc.
I prefer to hunt late march into early april than I do late april into may.

    i'm not that deep.

    i am so misunderstood.

i'm jealous that people are hunting and i'm at work.
I prefer the cooler mornings and less growth.
I have heard turkeys (most) all year.
I am sure I would hear them today.
    I own a tfc hat.

dont try to read into me so much.

I have heard more gobbling from particular birds. Can't say that I have experienced more individual gobblers be vocal. The birds that are gobbling are roosting with (what I am assuming are) poult-less hens and, will not for the life of them, leave those hens out of their sight. Just because hes gobbling, doesnt mean that he wants to get killed.

I've got one I've been waiting for the right wind before I go in after him.

You can still hunt in March next year, you just have to go to Florida to do so. Then again, when I went there last year it was 95 to 98 degrees the entire first week of March. Plus the alligators were so thick you had to drive 45 on the highway to keep from running one over.

but we've had the nicest weather recently, or so I was told.

I'm too "husky" to enjoy 95 degrees.

What'd you get? Played for the first time in months yesterday to practice for our member/member. Of course hit it excellent. Shouldn't have played before Saturday. Will all go downhill from here now.

A combo of these.. our member member was this past weekend, I didn't play. We've got the Carolinas 4ball this week and weekend as well, not playing in that either.
