    Default Prop question

So looking at a new to me boat. Sea Hunt Nav 19 2001. Currently has a 2023 140hp tohatsu. Does have trim tabs on the back. Right now it has an aluminum solus 21 pitch prop. Was running around 34/35 at 5000 rpms. Runs pretty smooth and got on plane pretty good. Does that sound correct with the rpm’s and the pitch on the prop?
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

doesn't sound bad but you "prop" a motor by the tach/rpm
The factory max rpm for the motor is 5150 - 5800, so see what RPM you are turning at WOT
This will tell you if you need to go up or down with the pitch
As a rule of thumb, you'll usually pick up roughly 200 RPM per pitch going down
If you were hitting 5000 max rpm at WOT and trimmed out, I'd try a 19P and get around 5500

    ECU summarized it well

If changing props go ahead and put a stainless on.
