Default Need help with MinnKota IPilot Powerdrive

For some reason it works intermittently. I can hit the button the on the remote to start the prop and every now and then the prop won't spin. The little prop symbol on the remote is spinning but the motor itself doesn't do shit. I took the prop off and found a bunch of line around the shaft, but it doesn't appear any line made it into the motor itself. Watcha got??

Agreed. The new Minn Kota repair guys work out of there off of Shore Road. They had me back up and running on 24 hours.

Obvious question but is your tm battery fully charged or holding a charge. When mine starts acting wonky at all, that’s generally the problem. At least so far it is.

Why don’t you download the I-pilot app on your phone and test the trolling motor. If it works with the app then buy a new remote if it don’t take it in for repair/ service

Took it to JC's this morning. Had a little bit of water in the motor when I pulled a bolt to the actuator. Spoke to Chris, should be up and running in a day or two if he doesn't have to order parts

Braided line can cause seal failure quickly.

I learned the hard way and check mine after every use.
