This is big news in the Vet Med world and is a kick in the nards to all these corporations holding veterinarians hostage.

    Good news.

Can't wait to see the responses when an unelected bureaucrat from the Interior Department makes a rule to protect animals from hunters on their lands...

It is not good news for capitalism. Medicine is one of the few spaces where I might argue there is a public policy reason not to allow noncompetes. Just more big government interference.

I find it good for capitalism. Screw big business trying to keep their thumb on their employees.

Does that mean that signers of ncas have to give their money back that they took in exchange for signing?

Exactly, typically a quid pro quo. Not many NCA’s signed without some sort of compensation. No way can they say that all existing are void without some sort of repayment.

Therein lies a serious question. However, I suspect the key word is ‘required’ to sign vs ‘incentivized’ to sign. At least the people I know who signed them, including myself once years ago, got paid a handsome bonus to sign voluntarily.

I can see both sides of the non-compete argument but the fact that yet another agency or commission can make an earth shifting decision is the part that disturbs me. Congress has delegated their power and responsibility to unelected bureaucrats and we voters have no recourse.

    Are teachers included?

2 week notice and leave the classroom with a substitute?

Ask the MD's at Bon Secours St Francis about their NCA's.

I wish people could get out of their bubbles and see what is coming. They can't. They won't.

Certainly interesting times. The bureaucracy is totally in control of the ship. Our elected legislators don't work for us.

You men you don't speak cryptic?

I THINK what he's hinting at is the fact this decision came from unelected officials from the FTC rather than from congress and elected officials or the courts.

Rest easy, Q Live Crew. This is far from settled and the lawsuit paperwork was ready to submit the moment this decision was released. We'll see this go through the USSC.
