Just play the game. Your mailbox will fill up with letters from NC attorneys. Just pick one and pay them to take care of it. I got a ticket in NC a few years ago. Mailbox filled up with letters and post cards from attorneys. I thought it was a scam. Talked to an older man that worked with me, and he said that is how they do business in NC and just pay one of the attorneys. Gave one a call and they handled it for a few hundred dollars. Ticket dropped to improper equipment and money paid to attorney covered their fees and my fine.

Often, you can just call the Judges Office and ask if anything can be done to help out, "I'm a great driver and assumed it was 55". They will often offer the Non-Moving and tell you to send $100 More than they told you the fine would be, but that's No Points. Good Luck.

I did this last time I got a ticket many many years ago. I went to the court house before court started that day (can't remember if it was on the court date or before that date) and talked to the DA and since it had been quite a while since I had any tickets they dropped it. I have heard some people say they got it dropped but had to go to a defensive driving class on a Saturday and then got it dropped. I did not use a lawyer.

We just went through this with my youngest son at Western Carolina. He got a speeding ticket in Jackson county and within days we were getting lawyer solicitation in the mail. We actually hired a lawyer that has sponsorship ads at the WCU football games. I think he charged us like $200 to represent my boy and he didnt have to show up for court. Then we just had to pay the fine after the court date.

What is a "Speed Trap" anyway? They put signs up with the speed limit on it. They look exactly the same all over the country. If you are too involved in texting and snapchatting while you drive to see them and slow down, don't blame them, blame yourself.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

    Calm down douche bag.

If you don't know what a 'speed trap' is like every other person with a working brain, then find another thread to post on that maybe you can keep up with ... and I wasn't on my phone.
