Catch dog in the making. My brother in law left me his AR while he was off at OCS in Quantico. I don’t own or shoot black guns but I told him I’d go kill a hog with it. He only left me “green tip” rounds. Didn’t realize that they just shoot pencil holes through a hog. That was fun. Hog almost charges and the little young dog bucked up and was ready to stand her ground. Was cool to see that instinct click in a little golden retriever.

Work gobblers. I have a handful of birds adjacent to the job site. I asked the neighbor for permission to just call to them and hunt them without a gun. It has been fun to be among them a morning or two a week. Put the calls in the pocket and slip over and take the high vis off. I have “killed” one on three different “hunts” Back at work by 8oclock.

He gobbled, strutted, and drummed on this log for 20 minutes and was a sight to see before he finally broke and came into range.
