I've walked up on/quartered 18 bulls killed with mechanical broadheads. Never seen one lost that wasn't obviously a terrible shot. I love the 1.5 SEVR. Shot placement is 10 times more important than the broadhead.

Two holes are better than one. Go to a fixed blade.
I've shot mine with slick tricks.

Surely in 4-6 hours you and Scott could have hashed this out and settled it in person.

Seriously, can't wait to see pics buddy!

    broadheads are a personal choice

go have fun and shoot something and send pics.

I like a fixed blade but I cant imagine shooting 50 yards so I'm not part of this discussion....

And, depending on which unit you're in...Better start hitting the stairmaster hard!

This. At least as important as what broadhead to shoot.

My advice…bolstered by an outfitter/rancher that’s been doing this a looooonnng time. Study frontal shots on YouTube…be ready, willing, and able to make that shot if presented with it at a range you are comfortable with. The guy I refer to said eastern deer hunters passing 20 yard frontal shots in favor of 45-50 yard or longer broadside shots drove him absolutely nuts. They will be coming in looking to fight or screw…you’ll likely get good looks at frontal shots…and they are deadly. That’s all I have…still trying to figure it all out myself.
“I can’t wait ‘till I’m grown” is the stupidest @!#* I ever said!
