Haha dang. I “coached” a 3/4 year old T-ball team last year.

Don’t sound a whole lot different.

I lost my cool in coach pitch. The opposing coach is supposed to let our players know when it is last batter because all you want to do is get the ball to home plate. We are 1 run ahead. The coach pitcher announces last batter as he is in his wind up to pitch. None of my players hear it.

Kid hits what should have been a single but turns into a home run since we don't throw to home. The place goes wild. The ump and the two opposing coaches meet at home plate. Chest bumping each other, spitting and kicking dirt. Im trying to get a do over. Ump says technically the pitching coach announced "last batter" before he pitched. We lost.

My kid plays (10) and the other night the opposing coach (loudmouth yankee) kept jawing at the ump. The ump has been at this place for years and years. He finally had enough and very loudly asked the coach if he would like to come call the game bc he seemed to know everything. The coach shut up after that.

I had no idea youth baseball was so life or death. I may need to change my priorities in life.

When people have no higher purpose, all that have is the hear and now. Everything becomes more intense because it's all they have.
