    Default Rem 1100 turkey gun

Been toying around the idea of picking up one of those single shot .410 to let my daughter shoot turkeys with and remembered i had an old Mossburg pump my grandfather bought me the day i was born. Ran over to my parents Today to dig it out of the safe and stumbled up on my Dads backyard made 1100 turkey gun. Basically it’s a deer slayer slug barrel that he bought for $20 and had it threaded for a no name .660” diameter choke back in the late 70’s. We scrounged around and found some of his old shells that are 3-3/4 - 1-1/2 -4 blends. I can honestly say i can’t remember him ever missing a turkey with this thing. Needless to say i brought it back home and gave it a deep clean and plan to take this one to kill my next one with soon as my 10 days are up. Yall ever seen anything like this?

    Is that a home-stitched wrap?

No it’s a Kane brand chap. He was one just like it on his 742 woodsmaster in 30-06.

Yep. I have a rifle sighted rem choke 870 barrel. They were pretty common 20 years ago. A lot came as combo guns that came with a vent rib barrel and slug barrel.
