    Default Inshore fishing pliers recommendation

Looking for a recommendation of a quality pair that will last. If money wasn’t an option I’d buy a pair of Van Staal titanium pliers, but think $300+ for pliers is a little ridiculous. I’ve got a pair of Manley pliers in a leather sheath that I’ve had for years and are great for offshore but a little bulky for inshore fish. Would love a simple pair made of quality stainless or titanium that won’t have surface rust after one or two trips. I just hate when you buy a pair of “stainless” pliers and they are require constant maintenance to keep the rust at bay.

I know BPS was getting drug through the mud in the other thread, but I've had good luck with these.

You already answered your question- get the Van Staal's. I have two pairs that are used hard and have been for years. Other than replacing the cutters they have worked flawlessly and don't show their age one bit.

I have these Danco pliers in the small 5.5 size. Going on 5+ years with near daily use and no rust. Perfect for inshore and flies/small artificials.

In the grand scheme of things $300 ain’t that much for a quality tool that will last you the rest of your life and you can pass on to someone else when the time comes

    These right here...

I have Van Staals with a lanyard on my belt and Dancos on the boat for guests to drop over board.

ETA: I still have some of the Manleys Fish showed and they are as good as new at 20+ years old as well. They are more suited for offshore as I feel the need to have the needle nose inshore.

The Danco titanium ones are legit. After 2 pairs on the bottom of the lake I have gone for a more economical option.

Thanks for all the replies. As stated in my first post, I completely agree with you on the Manley’s. IMG_5974.jpg

I’ve used these for a year with no problems. Not as beefy as my VS but perform well
