Probably averaged 4 days per week this past season. Sometimes work gets in the way.

zero. How are people hunting 4-5x a week in this state on public land. That has to suck.

Bro, you ain't lying. If I had to guess, a lot of the above answers include private 15 minute wood duck shoots before sunrise and head off to work. Nearly 50% of the waterfowl harvest in SC is Wood Ducks. Thank the Lord for them too.

I shot geese 2 of 3 days afield this past season (early goose)
Duck "hunted" 2 days while woodcock hunting with steel shot with the possibility of jump shooting a Wood Duck.
Our annual SCDNR TOMO duck hunt is the highlight of my sons and I each year. I guess that's another hunt.

I buy a State duck stamp every year, regardless of whether I hunt here or not. I'll support the resource even if I'm not a consumer of it.

I haven't hunted ducks in SC in many years but I will fight to put SAV back in SC waters and tend nesting boxes for Wood Ducks. Nothing warms my heart more than a seeing pictures of kids with their first duck and it's a beautiful Wood Duck.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

    4 days per week average.
    Mix between public and private.

    Suck?

If you love duck hunting and are able to hunt, it's pretty easy.

I can't imagine not hunting public in SC.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

I love it and am able. I realized a long time ago that, at least in the upstate, it's not worth it. I'd rather leave the few alone that actually still come here. Hunting half the days in a season does nothing for the resource.

Pretty much this. Ill shoot wood ducks or ring necks once or twice a year, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze for me in state anymore.
