    Default Built my first pirouge

Ended up making the sides to short got to change that some or either lose weight. Started building it out of wood but then decided to use the wood as a mold and made the whole thing out of fiberglass. Definitely fun little project.

I made one a few years ago with the Cajun Secret plans. I’ve used it a few times in the swamp, but it doesn’t have enough freeboard for my big ass. Fun project though.

    Yours looks real good.

Have you taken it for its maiden voyage yet?

If so how stable is it?

    Looks sharp!

I built one years ago...came as a little kit with the jigs already made. Made it out of two sheets of plywood. Used the old stitch and glue method....raised the sides for some additional freeboard. As with most things, I "over-engineered" it and made the damned thing so heavy that it almost took two people to handle. Someone up at the lake decided they needed it more than I did and took it from underneath the house.

Might need to dig it back out and get to working on another one with my son and daughter.

I’ve had it in the water it floats and sits low. I’m about one buffet shy from probably sinking it. I’m going to let my son use it and build me another one.
