    I still find a lot of cat face stumps in GA. Never found as many in SC, but there were once plentiful I’m sure.

    Cut some wood for a guy that had like 7-8 acres of cat face timber on his place. Cat faced one log up. Love seeing them.

    Cool vid. I never really wondered or knew where turpentine came from.

    How is the sap collected today and is the south still the leading producer?

    No. It’s been substituted essentially. To my knowledge at least.

    Didn't watch the video but most turpentine nowadays comes as a byproduct of the pine pulping process. It is used in a mass amount of products.
