Gmail Issues

Does anyone else with a gmail account have an issue with emails going straight to people spam folders? My wife types all our estimates and invoices in Microsoft word format and emails them on my gmail account. Not all of them but I would say 3/10 people call back the next day and say they never got their estimate or invoice. How do I fix this?

If she’s using a free account, get one that is registered to Google.

I would let the customer know beforehand that they should receive an estimate by "this timeframe... If you don't, please check your spam folder." The other option is to tell them to add your email address to their address book and it shouldn't go to spam.

Many company's have security settings on their email servers and the IT geeks typically set them to specifically filter out anything coming in from Gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc. Cause let's face it, in a business setting, an incoming email from those domains are most likely going to be spam.

The solution really is to register a domain with your business' name and quit using Gmail. It's more professional anyway

No but seem to be missing a lot of incoming invoices from manufactures the last three months. They say they are emailed but I tell them if I don’t have an invoice it will not get paid. Email is getting worst that the usps.
