I killed it years ago with herbicides and disking, but that was in the growing season in June.
Has anybody had any luck this time of the year?
It's still green.

Isn’t fescue a cool season perennial? Meaning it’s in growing season now. I would hit it with a grass selective herbicide or glyphosate if you are not worried about what it’s growing around.

Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Curious if he waits till a a warm spell like maybe by Sunday? Diuron with AMS mixed. Doesnt fescue grow much like aquatic weeds that "nodule" off to protect themselves from browsing or poison?
I may be wrong, but the AMS should encourage the plant to take the Diuron in quicker, and if so it should go in and do its thing. Maybe!
Yup, he's crazy...
like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.
Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.

Fescue, one of the many reasons for the death of the SC bobwhite quail.
To piggyback, what should I use to kill Sarcobatus vermiculatus, Saltbush, hellplantfromhell, or whatever it is called.

They can’t move through it and it chokes out the native grasses which fed them for eons. Quail used to be like mosquitoes at Santee Coastal Reserve.
For cows and horses, It's a fungus that grows on it.

Once was a time every 40 acre field had one or two coveys of birds. What did the quail in is ditch to ditch cultivation, Large scale agricultural operations, pesticides, herbacides, and soybeans which require a lot of chemicals in the brooding season for quail. Some of this may also be why turkey are declining too.

Son n Law said you could spray it with roundup while the temps are in the 50-60 range and then 20 days later and it should work.
Other than that he said Katana, Revolver, Certainty or Monument... just pricey.
He said Certainty for pastures is called Outrider. As long as the grass is still growing and highs in the 50's and 60's it'll work... Just slowly.
He said if you want to heat it up, add a surfactant and some ammonium sulfate.
That is if you trust a Clemson Ext guy.
