    HOUSE HEARING ON 'WARMING OF THE PLANET' CANCELED AFTER ICE STORM
    HEARING NOTICE
    Tue Feb 13 2007 19:31:25 ET

    The Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality hearing scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 Rayburn House Office Building has been postponed due to inclement weather. The hearing is entitled “Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet?”

    The hearing will be rescheduled to a date and time to be announced later.

    DC WEATHER REPORT:

    Wednesday: Freezing rain in the morning. Total ice accumulation between one half to three quarters of an inch. Brisk with highs in the mid 30s. North winds 10 to 15 mph...increasing to northwest 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

    Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows around 18. Northwest winds around 20 mph.

    I think there's something of substance to global warming.Problem is ,I think , by the time they'll be able to prove it to most of us we'll be dead.

    Someone please tell me what effect the "MAN" had on causing the ice age? Was it the torches? The burning of Dinosaurs bones? Eating Teradactyl eggs? The paint used in cavepaintings? Pissing on glaciers? Eating woolymammoth boogers?

    I am sure Al Bore I mean Gore could explain this, I just thought maybe one of you would know.

    Maybe if we started doing this stuff again it would cool down the earth- counterbalance so to speak

    The more I read about global warming the more convinced I am that is pretty much BS. I read somewhere that the earth's avg. temperature has not increased even a tenth of a degree since 1999 according the satelite temp measurements. Furthermore, it has only increased about 0.7 degrees C over the last fifty or so years. The media jumps all over a story about a warm day in January. When we get a record cold day a month later they don't even question global warming. I would just like to see one person in the mainstream media question this so called consesus on global warming.
