Partially tore my Achilles tendon last year. Was pulling a trap out of the ground and was before I had the drill bit to drill down and pull it out…. Pulling up and pop. Right before heading to Arkansas on a hunting trip. Still went, hunted, finished trapping season, was playing basketball and running in about a month after.

“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965
