Weakfish? Catch them fairly regularly this time of year. Especially in channels. Always wondered why the limit was 1.

No. These are not weakfish. Silver seatrout.

    Look on page 4.

They are truly silver and have a really big eye.

I'm with the dentist, never seen or heard of one. Cool catch but I like a spotted better.

Di you eat them? I've always been amazed the spotted trout are one of my favorites but weakfish (to me anyway) aren't worth keeping.

I thought I had seen every inshore fish before...New one. Looks like a night feeder.

I threw them back thinking they were weakfish and they didn't have size to them.
I think weak fish taste better than speckled trout.

I bet Sportin is picking mallard ducks, but I haven't heard of a silver trout before. I should probably read the regulations that my government has provided me, but I won't...

I caught one Monday between IOP and Moore’s on a DOA. Speckled trout bite was hot on live shrimp and DOA’s.

Never seen one of those before.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
