I typically spray round up 4 weeks prior to season. Decided to go gramoxzone this year because there was an 80% chance of rain the night 6 hours after I sprayed. Plus all the heads were already down so little to no contact with the seed areas.

I did learn about 4-5 years ago that doves will avoid chemicals with high glyphosate if the plants are stagnant with the chemical for several days on end.

Each there own. We’ve had a dove field for about 40 years and it has never really let us down. (There were a few years a while back when I think everyone struggled). Typically average around 2000 birds a year.

Rain 6 hours after glypho application has zero effect upon it's effectiveness.
One hour after for that matter even....

So, the logic is , we already put a bunch of crap out there, so what’s a some more even deadlier crap out there too?

    BRILLIANT philosophy!!!
Did you give your 5 year old, that eats all that processed food, candy and other garbage, a carton of cigarettes and handle of Jack? I mean, hell, he’s already eat stuff that’s bad for him, let’s just give him something worse.

You should probably read the label on that stuff.

Was about to say, I hope the new guy is only shooting 100% organically grown doves that have never been exposed to any harsh chemicals.

Oh btw, welcome to the site peckerhead....

I like to use this on long runs and what not. Really keeps the chafing down.

I like a gramoxone roasted dove breast. Really sets your taste buds on fire.

And it makes a pretty dove field.

99% of the folks with an opinion about chemicals have zero experience with them.

    Bottom right hand bullets

Clemson Extension as well as Texas A&M have similar articles

Also, I just read the label hoping to find “safe for grazing” or “safe for animal exposure” after such time. Didn’t see that but it does carry “zero restrictions” after 24 hours

Bottom section first page, top section 2nd

Didn't want to post a 147 page label. But heres the link if you want it pages 65- 66

if you put your faith solely in a state publication, you take your fate into your own hands. Let something and point the finger and say" you said it was OK". Theyll tell you "you should have read the label"

    I
Must be missing something cause sure looks like I spray the right rate……..maybe a little lite actually.

Also managed to do so with well more than 7 days to spare

And sure glad I didn’t let my kids run behind me and lick the flowers or spray it on their slide for a slip-n-slide……..

I’ve gotta go catch a few calves now and band them with my little girls that might die from the Pastora I sprayed on out pastures 3 days ago.

    Done posting about this……..
