Lots of activity in our current house from the day we moved in. Never any dark spirits that I can tell and never anything harmful. No one has died in our home or anything like that to have a reason for spirits that we are aware of. Home is only 20 years old and we have been in it 13.

    A few short ones...

    1. Home with flu a few years ago. Wake up to the sound of someone walking down the upstairs hallway. Grab the 45 and wait...no one. 20 minutes later same thing. Go back to sleep and wake up again to the sound of carpet crunching and coming into bedroom. Told the spirit I was sick but fine and to leave me alone. Didn’t hear anything rest of the day.

    2. Same time but at night I feel a hand on my chest. Assumed it was one of the kids and open my eyes and no one is there but there is a hand print in the blanket on my chest. Look at monitor and kids are asleep in their bed and my wife is sawing logs.

    3. Many times been woken up to covers being pulled off of me. No one there pulling them. Even happened when no one else is home. I have been awake to see the covers being pulled.

    4. Lights turn off and on regularly I’ve had the electrical checked, put in new switches, and replaced the lights.

    5. Tennis ball rolled down the hallway into my oldest sons room. He was home after school by himself.

    6. French doors latched shut open on their own.

The best story I have of unexplainable is my nephew was at the house over a weekend and he left a little soccer ball. Monday I get home from work and the ball is in the living room floor...we had put it in a basket with other balls in the corner. I put it up in the bed of a little dump truck on a toy box. Tuesday I come home and the ball is back in the floor with a picture off of the mantle of my nephew sitting beside it. The soccer ball went bye-bye after that.

If you don’t believe in them, watch you dogs. They typically have a strong 6th sense. My shepherd will act like someone is walking down our stairs... he look at our stairs and the hair stands up on his neck. Sometimes he will have a little growl. But never anyone there that I can see but sometimes it coincides with me having a feeling someone is watching me or near me.
Sounds like an episode of a haunting, it never turns out to be not evil.

Not sure it was Grey Man but one of mine was at Pawleys Plantation during a huge winter storm. Was closing up at around 11 and the rental manager and I went out the front door to leave. Standing about 30ft in front of us was what looked like an old boat captain from the 1800s in his black slicker and hat with rain pouring off of him. We looked at each other, then back at him and he vanished.

Also while working there were had a small hurricane. Next morning we went in to cut trees and clean up the property. Me and another guy rode around hole #16 which ends at the marsh looking across to the island. I saw a reflection that caught my eye and my coworker said, “what the hell is he doing?” There was a man standing in the middle of the marsh. Only problem was what caught my eye was the buttons on his confederate uniform glistening in the morning sun. We looked at each other and back at the soldier. He was out there looking for something, a few seconds later he just faded.

My mom has some good stories about the Litchfield Plantation house and ghosts. Ive also heard a choir singing in the woods about a half mile from Old Gunn Church in Plantersville while deer hunting. Im not saying what I heard wasnt an actual choir way wayyy away but it was definitely a unique experience. It was peaceful and scary all at once.

Ive only had one experience that was weird, Ive probably posted it here before.

I bought an old house in Arkansas several years ago for duck hunting. It was through an estate as the previous owner had passed. It needed a lot of rehab. Myself, my wife, my son (around 1.5 years old if I remember right), and my jack russell loaded up a ton of stuff and headed west to do some work. We had been working all day, and when night came around we put my son in a pack and play in the bedroom (used to be the room the previous owner slept in). There was nothing in the room but the pack and play and a mattress. My wife and I were working in the living room when my son started howling, scared out of his mind. He was staring at the corner of the room (nothing at all there). We didnt think anything of it, and put him back down. A little while later hes screaming his head off again, and now my dog is staring at the same corner barking and growling with his hairs up on his neck. He wouldnt calm down, we ended up sleeping in the living room that night. My wife is freaked out at this point and wanted to drive 30 minutes to a hotel. I finally get everyone calm and dont think much of it.

A few months later during duck season, the guys in camp are on the porch and one says he felt a little creeped out because he could feel someone staring at him from that same corner. I hadnt told anyone the story of my kid and dog, completely unsolicited.

Flash forward a few years and the house burns down. Insurance inspector and the power company inspector determine it was from faulty wiring the previous owner had done on their own.

I thought wed have some type of ghost/paranormal experiences at my current house, but nothing yet. It was built in 1887 as a church, and was active until 1920 when it was turned to a residence.

    Sadly yes.

Ive been visited few times, and can not explain it. Recently was visited by what appeared to be my uncle, very strange because we hardly ever saw each other. Few hours into the day I got a call that he had passed.

I've seen Ghostbusters like seventy times. Not 2, or that new age chick movie, the original is an American treasure

    It was

I drank a lot of cheap beer back in those days.. but there'd always be a bottle of md 20/20, Boones, or that sitting around. Cisco though felt like another thing all together, like it was laced with pcp or something

I saw some weird light on a bridge down in Socastee around that time as well. I was at Coastal then, and a few of us were sitting up late one night at Sandpipers. This fella that was hanging around our group then was from around the area, and talked about.. can't remember his name, he thought he was an up and coming country singer, wore a damn cowboy hat everywhere and talked about Travis Tritt like they were f'n. He was nonstop trying to edge on a girl I was dating at the time, she was way the hell out of his league.. long story, but after many drinks we're headed down this long as dirt road. . Yeah, sounds like I'm going to be murdered or something, but no. I'm driving my girlfriends stupid little convertible vw when these lights flash from behind. I stop the car, and it's right on this little old bridge. This light appears dead ahead, maybe a quarter a mile or so, then that booger does like warp speed and is right up on us. I put that car in reverse, and it was all I could do to get it cranked. Raced back, and sat and watched. It shot back towards its origin, then maintained for a bit.. it was maintaining better than anyone in our crowd, then vanished. We went back once more, but never saw anything else.

    Yes I do.

Funny you mention the dog thing because that couldnt be more spot on based on a few experiences I have had.

My house in Greenville had them. I would "sense" things but only saw one. My girlfriend saw them all the time. When I found broken off head stones buried in the back yard it made sense.

I'd leave early to go hunt and my girlfriend would call in a panic, "They're watching me again." They'd tend to stand at the bedroom door and not come in. I had a friend come to visit and he woke up around 3:00 AM and hollered, "Leave me alone." Apparently the covers kept getting pulled off of him during the night.

My dogs would be running wide open across the yard sometimes. Put on the brakes, sit, and wag their tales. They'd hold their nose up like dogs do when someone is petting their head. The neighbors kids had imaginary friends. One was an old black man in a chef's type jacket. Very graphic descriptions.

My grandma passed in her house in 1987. I was 6. I was in the house with my uncle when I was about 11 watching tv and I saw her walk across the hall from her room to the bathroom.at least I think it was her.the shape just kinda glided across and looked to be in a night gown.several years later I moved into the house when I got out of the marine corps.my granddaddy had passed in the house in 2001.i moved in by myself in 2003. I was blowing off steam being a dumbass, drinking, smoking weed, entertaining womens, etc. Me and ol girl was laying in bed one night, I get up to go pee and come back in and shes freakin out. I asked her several times and she told me she saw a tall thin figure standing at the foot of the bed. I kinda blew it off until I heard the front deadbolt unlatch.door never opened but district footsteps walked from the front door to the bedroom door. At this point we get up and decide to go stay at her place.as soon as my hand touches the front door knob the phone hanging beside the front door rings.i pick it up and no tone no answer. Granddaddy worked for southern bell for 35 years.it was like 230 in the morning when all this happened.i took all that as a sign from him to tighten my shit up and quit acting up in his house
    The price is firm.

I was riding a line out at Grove plantation in the ACE basin one night on the 4-wheeler. I got to the old house”office” and rode around shining my flashlight looking for the meter can. I was just going to confirm if the reclosire was out or if I needed to ride go to the private house in the back. Well when I rounded the back porch I saw a silhouette in the window downstairs looking out at me. I took off down the line and said screw ot I’ll just ride it out to the back. Well every time I’d come off the gas the 4 wheeler would cut off! I was tripping out! I held the heat to it until I got to the private home and the guy met me outside with a flashlight. I told him I was glad to see him and there’s some weird crap going on out there! He agreed and said he’s seen some things! Anyhow I got his light back on.
A few days later we were working on Parker’s ferry rd and a wildlife truck stopped to talk to us. I told the man what I saw that night, he said normally the things happen in that house upstairs. I get goosebumps every time I talk about it.

Also there’s two lineman that saw the ghost of a black woman that got hit on edisto island at pine landing rd and 174. They saw her on a Mother’s Day morning around 4am. She was wearing the same dress she was buried in. They had a call out at the beach and saw her standing there facing the direction they were coming from. They said she was paper thin almost front to back. They did their work and headed back towards Hollywood. Well when they were coming up on pine landing she was still standing there but this time facing towards the beach. The lead man decided to turn around at geechie boy and go back. Something didn’t feel right. The other boy rolled on back to the office in the line truck, he was freaked out bad. Well lead man rode back up to her and she again was facing towards the direction he was coming from. He stopped and rolled down his window and told her she needs to be careful, because a woman got killed here by a car. She looked at him and said “ I am that woman”! He said he didn’t let off the gas back to the office!
I’ve got more stories but I’m typing on my cell phone and am sure y’all are having a hard enough time reading this! I’m not proof reading either
