This looks similar to your rig...but they're running a 17 pitch SS at getting 42.5MPH at 5600 RPM. An 18 pitch would keep the RPMs lower without the motor screaming in your ear.

Joe Krasko runs a 90 (think it's actually an 85, but whatever) on his hyperlift and could probably offer some input on prop selection if he reads this. He's experimented with props a good bit from what I recall.

If all it took was a taller prop, we'd all be running 50...

Is your glass always half empty? Sut just said his dad had the same rig with an equivalent motor. I'm pretty confident mine will turn a taller prop, that's why I started the thread. Maybe yours won't.

I run 45 on a 1651 with a 60. If you're satisfied by all means let it be but you could probably make some minor changes and see a big difference.

Might could. No jack plate or anything at this time though

No offense to tman but his boat would run better if the bottom of the hull didn't look like a wash boarded gravel

Anyway, I have zero experience setting up a pad hull but from what I've read you'll need one of them bite lifting props to lift the nose and get the boat riding up on that pad. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that your rig would also benefit from some setback and raising the motor.

I second this....get the motor up out the water a little bit.

mercury vengeance is the crappiest ss prop merc makes. Basically an aluminum prop mold poured in ss.

Try a laser2 or high five

If you were closer I have a high five 23p you could try. High five props are smaller diameter so it runs like a 21p
