    There is no such thing
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

With the absence of big ducks where you hunt, that's 100% correct.

Yea I hunt all over the country and kill more big ducks in SC than most fokes. What I meant by that is that isn't one go to call for all conditions and habitats. I figured guys that knew what they are doing would know what I meant.
You don't use the same call on a windy day as a calm day just like you don't use the same call in timber that you use on open water or in a field.

I really do. I've blown the same call day in and day out for years.

Folks get too caught up in duck calls, and it sorta tickles me when I see a hunter with 3 mallard hen calls around his neck. 98% of the time he's gonna grab the same call time and again.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

We have also established that you don't travel to duck hunt that much.

I use the same call for a ricefield and the timber.
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

Maybe you or the call can't don't have the ability to be soft and the top end for a windy day, but it's out there.

Sorry, I'm going to be 'that guy' but the go-to call should be to not call. Then, only when not calling fails completely, go to a call.

This! I was always taught that if a duck is doing what you want it to do, then there is no reason to call. But, some people just love to be heard.

I don't trust myself enough with calling, this has been my tactic and it's worked out well.

If I had to only have one call I'd take a Wood duck call or whistle. I also don't hunt out of state.
