The best looking mallards are the tanglefree fully flocked

If you want em to move use a jerk string or shake a leg

For a while at our club in AR we had Drake decoys (provided by another member). Interesting thing was that you actually had to buy the keels separate from the decoys (big rip off) which he did not know. We didn't have any other option so we hunted over them and I'll be danged if they didn't have great movement without the keel because they were light. We wound up never putting keels on them. The only issue we had was tossing them out, some would not roll upright since they didn't have the keel. So we would have to walk the spread and flip some over.

Ive got some higdons, herters and g&H. The higdons look the best, the herters move the best and the g&h are the lightest.

I have always loved water keel decoys for movement. I typically remove all weight in the keel no matter the brand.

I use Feather Flex. They weigh about 4 pounds per dozen including the weights.I don't think they're made anymore, but someone else makes some similar to them.

avian x are hard to beat. A buddy has the higdon flocked battleship drakes and i really like the light color (white) on the body. They are heavy as shit though. If you can boat to the hole they are great.

you could carve a few of your own suc-bottoms and restle coat them in a single layer--> but you'll be painting them quite often, plus they'll still have some weight and won't self-right

I've hunted over these for the last 6 years and they are great. They are perfect for when you need to hike into a spot.

In case you missed it here is a side by side comparison of some of the decoys out there.

    http://scducks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=149185

Dakota has a new mallard decoy coming out this summer with a recessed keel that might be worth taking a look at.
I ended up getting some Magnum hard cores- and dumping about half of the sand out of the keel. What I found out is that the decoy manufacturers will fill up the entire keel with sand even if it only takes a little bit to flip the decoy over
