go to www.ssscpr.com and look for the map. Also click on the Pak's Link.

Leave Packs landing and go imediately to the right and fish Pack's flats.

If you are not familiar with the area, do not try to run anywhere except on the immediate north side of the trestle to the river. Anywhere else and you will probably be limping home with a busted motor.

so would north of the trestle be mostly the congree would that be good and then fish some of the little open backwater areas of the main river

I'm talking about right beside the trestle. As was previously posted, after leaving the landing, just hang a right but go slow and be prepared to hit a few stumps. Fishing can be good anywhere on the flats this time of year so if it was me, I would'nt worry too much about running up the river except to maybe familiarize it better.

Here is one from a the drought, water is back now but the stumps are still there!! The RR track are what everybody is talking about. If you go out from them you better take it slow(if you don't know the area take it all slow).

    Hope that helps.

Go slow and you'll be fine. I've hit a thousand stumps out there and not ever done anything other then bend a prop a little bit. but nothing a hammer can't fix.
