Can anyone tell me what this is and what will kill it?? It's getting out of control on my side of a 10 acre pond.

I've always heard those terms used interchangeably.

Rodeo is just a fancy and more expensive name for Roundup. I think they changed the surfactant in it to "make it safe" for aquatic use. If it is a private pond, I would get a jug of the generic "Roundup" and spray it.

And we always called it alligator grass.

You should be able to get a 2.5 gallon jug of the generic for around $35.00.

That is alligator weed. I looked fast while i was at break in training class. It has white flowers. Primrose has yellow. Rodeo (aqautic round up) will kill both.

Alright I've sprayed the Alligator weed now I need to figure out what this crap is. It looks like hair everywhere. It's about 8' deep right here but I don't know if this stuff goes all the way to the bottom or if it's just floating. What is it??

and if that's correct.. I would like to know how much ducks like it, and if it's a major issue for fish survival / oxygen levels?

It looks like what we always called it "monkey hair". It's thicker than I've usually seen it though. Oh, and I hate monkeys so by proxy I hate monkey hair.

I'll get a close up picture this evening. It's taking over a 10 acre pond.
