    Default Rod guides replacement/repair

I have a couple of nice Shimano rods with ceramic guides that the ceramic has cracked due to a rod bouncing out of the boat, and, well, kids.

Threadwork is nice, and I dont want to go damaging it, by doing it myself, because one, I dont have the skill to not make a career out of one by itself, and second, I just dont have the skill to replace without damaging the threadwork.

Where in Columbia to Georgetown has a good rod guy?

Or, am I missing the boat on replacement ceramic inserts...(why hasnt the fishing world moved beyond ceramic guides and gone to something a little more indestructible)?

If you don't mind waiting, Mr. Franklin "Pops" at Irby St. Sporting Goods does a pretty decent job. He's usually backed up pretty good this time of year though.
