Big fish. I bet $5 it was on a streamer and a rod bigger than a 7#.

Said he has caught 8 in three years. That fella is dedicated!

Wow. that is a nice one. I lived up there for two years and fished for them a good bit and caught TWO. Musky fishermen will count "follows" since they are so daggum hard to catch. They call them "the fish of a thousand casts."

Mille Lacs is a neat place. I spent a couple of weekends up there but we mainly fished for walleye.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

Let me revise that then. That fella is pretty darn successful!

Never caught one myself but Dad caught one that was 42" on a bear hunt some years ago, fly rod. Luck really I guess, was fishing for smallies and had no wire leaders at the time. Closest fish I've caught that looked like one of those was a 9" red fin pickerel.

"Fish of 10,000 casts" and the SC record was caught by a black fella fishing with worms on a Zebco rod and reel

Didnt the state record come out of the Broad river near Blacksburg last year from a Kayak using a spinnerbait?

I have had them chase my hooked smallmouth up to the boat on occasion. See quite a few at Hiawassee and some monsters in Fontana.

    You should've dropped it back.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Vermillion snapper, pretty tasty, excellent bait.

Both were caught in the same section of river, heard a couple stories from folks around there about catching them. Never realized they were so prevalent around there.
