    Default Allison trans overhaul

5 speed behind a LMM Duramax. Rebuilding with PPE Stage 4 kit. Trans can withstand 850hp and 1500 ft lbs of torque. This will be a stout Duramax with a trans that will hold up. Few pics for you Allison guys...

    That looks fun

How many miles were on that transmission before starting this project? Was it giving any trouble before this overhaul? Curious as I have 271K miles on mine.

No issues. Trans is normally the weakest link when tuning and "building".

    Damn.

Even built that might come apart..........most guys are in the 500hp range. I know nothing about what kit you are installing though.

LMM does have a 2 piece crank. I even heard of a few stock ones snapping.
