    Default 60,000 mile preventative maintenance

Just hit 60k on my 2012 superduty. What's your opinions on preventative maintenance at this interval?

KRT you recommend doing a major service on all vehicles at 100k? My wife's Venza is about to roll 100k.

I put 250,000 on a Ford Explorer changing the rear differential oil every 60k. I put 160k on another Explorer and my wife's has 120k - no problems. My son's Escape has 116k - no problems.

    I guess I've been lucky.

Oh, I understand. The modern gear oils are full synthetics too. $200 extra every 2-3 years is a great peace of mind.

People tell me I'm crazy to change the engine oil every 3,000 to 3,500 but, again, I've never had any engine/drive train problems other than a few break-in problems that were covered under warranty.

You ain't crazy. We change oil in everything every 3,000/miles. That is why my FORD truck has never had the motor touched.
