    Default Venice, LA

I'm in the early stages of planning a trip to Venice...Probably looking for a couple offshore days and an inshore day, maybe 2 inshore days...not really sure yet. Who do you have as far as guides? There will likely be a total of 5 people in my trip.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

I can't remember the guys name but I will say this, have the forearm in shape, it can be insane! I went to all top water after the first hour just to make it a challenge.

Mexican Gulf is who all the guys around here use. We had one booked last winter but it was cancelled due to weather. Be looking to do it again soon.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

It is an epic fishery....we caught yellowfin to 120#.....probably 200 reds....just crazy.

Check vrbo for the houseboats you can rent...actually fairly cheap

Yeah...that's kind of the problem and makes the planning process a little difficult if you've never been. There are so many guides and so much information it's kind of overwhelming.

I had the numbers worked out for six. Staying at Venice marina at either their cabins or a houseboat, renting a 15 passenger van and snatching the two middle seats out for cooler space, two days offshore w/ Mexican Gulf Fishing Co, and a single day inshore chasing trout and reds. Was fairly reasonable but ALOT of windshield time. I had it planned out to drive for a day there, fish the rigs two days, inshore the next morning, start heading back after the inshore trip.

We used to do the rental van thing all the time many moons ago, dragging the boat out to Wakini KS chasing ducks....worked out great for keeping everything dry/secure and was good for stretching out when you weren't driving for the ride out and back.

I have a spreadsheet somewhere with all the $$,contact info, etc. Will see if I can dig it up and will shoot it over to you.

ETA: The sixth person made a big difference in the trip. Everything down there is based off for 6. Rig trip is 6 on the boat, 2 inshore boats with 3 each, and the cabins/houseboats all have beds for six.

Call Southern Delta Charters 985-351-9680. I went with three others and caught 100 trout in an hour and 15 min. Capt. Kasye has really nice gear.

I know we talked about that a couple of months ago. I'll be home on Friday. We'll talk

Mexican Gulf Fishing Co. We rented a houseboat for 4 at Venice Marina through VRBO.
