    Default Turkey Call recommendation

I'm fully aware that taste in turkey calls is personal, and that everyone has their own preferences.

I also have calls from a lot of different call makers because I like handmade calls and the talent those guys have to make a beautiful product by hand that kills turkeys.

That said, if you don't have the small Spring Allure Bloodwood/copper, you are making a mistake. I was running calls in my office this morning, and it is simply awesome. If you remember the travel call, it was the first one Ricky ever made in this combo, and it has been pure death.

I don't make a habit of telling grown men what to do, so consider this a strong suggestion.

again, its worth more with ricky dead.

    this can be arranged.

The copper call I got from him will make your ears bleed. And it has the same affect on a turkey.

I'd love to have a spring allure call, just sayin. I can only surmise there is some fear of what that power might do in my hands.

The travel call brought 41 Long beards to their death. Power your ass over to Costco and buy some more plastic bags.

Not knocking Ricky's calls. Told the truth in my post and threw in a little dry humor.

Ricky's calls are the heat. I am lucky to own a handful of them. The copper does have a sweat sound. Especially with a Harold Fowler striker.

Try tulipwood. And I suck at running a pot call. Getting better though.

I do not give those bastardized arrow strikers my endorsement FWIW.

Harold Fowler's other wood strikers are works of art. I have a "few" and they can improve any pot call..

Nitro, which would you recommend on a spring allure copper and spring allure slate? Don't get me wrong, the ones Ricky paired to each are awesome but I like to have a few extras with me to change the tone

Mr Harold makes strikers from many different woods of course. I like Hackberry, Cocabola, Ironwood ( If you can get one), or BoisD'Arc..

The Bloodwood striker shown is a great one on a slate surface..
