Good stuff!
Never had heard of the LRRP's before watching this video.
when I lived on Hatteras island I had a trim carpenter that worked for me and he had been to Vietnam and when I asked him what he did, he said he was a LURP. We became great friends over the years and he had photo albums of old black and white photos of him and the "patrol" in the jungle and I use to love looking at the photo album. He died of cancer a few years ago.
I use to love to read books about those guys. That was some good books about some tough guys.
The unforgivable crime is soft hitting. Do not hit at all if it can be avoided; but never hit softly.
Theodore Roosevelt
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
― Theodore Roosevelt
I hang out with a man that was a lrrp. Probably the toughest man I know.
