Private Land Rubberhead # 1
i'm seeing at lot more doves around the hood over the last few days
I hope we get some migritories this year. All we had were local birds last year. Had a good shoot the first and second weekend, then real slow. Had a decent shoot on thanksgiving but last year was not stellar for us.
well you see....this is how I APPARENTLY get a bad rap around here. Trust me....IF I had doves, I would enjoy inviting people. I am pretty sure only a couple of FF board members and millero have ever come to hunt with me.
Nick--you know you are invited any time. PM me when the season rolls around...
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
We can shoot doves together.
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands
We'll shoot this year, promise. It's not like we have the doves like 2th. We're just happy to be there.

HS invited me once.

ha. thanks. gonna need em. we can grow the hell out of some weeds. we are pretty good at it. pre-emergent has been spotty in its effectiveness on certain things. I dont even like to talk about pigweed. Next on my list is sickle pod, then cocklebur (more in the duck ponds).

The field is clean, ours will be sprayed again soon. I just left it, no pics. I think people put too much emphasis on really clean fields. Don't get me wrong, I hate looking at a dirty field, and pigweed is evil, and will rot flowers. But the years I've looked and messed with ours, clean is good for one reason. Getting people in and out quick. That's the trick to doves, less looking for birds, less dicking around, get the people out before they feed.
