Upstate? I've found the chanterelles in Charleston County. They are pretty tasty.

I know exactly where to get a pound of them tomorrow. I have a few WMA spots where they grow. You can find them is the same spots year after year, or I can

I have a place where I usually get morels every year...that is if I time them right. I'm planning on going tomorrow or Wed and checking on them.

Found some small ones a year or two ago while looking at some land with Slaya. It was a sweet looking spot but a little late. I'd love to go back there and look for some good ones. I'm sure there would be a nice patch there if the time was right.

Here's a site where you can post the "general location" of your find to let other folks know it's time.

Good Times, Mergie. Taught me something. I'd never looked for Morels, but I pay attention now.

Hell yeah! I enjoyed it. Just walking in the woods, the fellowship and finding some morels was worth it.

Did that place sell yet? If not we should hustle back over there and grab a bag of morels.

I plan on getting out to a few spots this afternoon. Will carry turkey gun and a diaphragm call just in case.

I pick them through the summer.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Found them towards Parksville. Most were too far gone.
