What websites do you guys like to use to look for leases? Wouldn't mind finding a small one in kershaw county for next year.

I think Plum Branch has one. Seems their open leases are put up for bids.

I don't know if Milliken Forestry has one.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

Get your Google on but those two should have something.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

I had looked at some of them before. I figure more leases will come open around May/June.

Our available leases are generally not added until July every year, however I know of a few that will probably be added prior to turkey season.

How hard is it to find a 50-100 acre lease from the timber companies?

I've only hunted public land around Charleston but am planning on making the move to Columbia area in the fall and want to get involved with a lease/club. Where would you recommend beginning the search? Are the above listed places for individual leases or for groups? PM me if it is not in line with the topic of this thread.

I would love to find one 100-200 acres. It's just me and two other guys and our sons. All ages 6-9, I'm tired of bouncing around clubs trying to find one im comfortable with.

Knock on doors... I approached a landowner one day and asked if he was interested. It's 103acres with a beaver pond. Excellent land! The man owns a lot of property around his house, but said he had another tract just down the road he would be happy to lease. He just wanted the taxes paid really. 3 years now I've been leasing it. I get it jan1-dec31 every year. I have zero issues and take the man cash after Xmas every year. Works out great

I thought about that. I have a few thousand acres around my house that's split up into several tracts from the same family. I only have permission to bow hunt a small parcel or it. The family hunts some of it that I know of.
