    Default Tomorrow...

    You have two choices:

A.) Bufflehead beat down 5 minutes from the house.

B.) Wood duck shoot at a walk in hole that can be hit or miss, but I know hasn't gotten hunted much yet. I know there are birds there. It is an hour and fifteen minute drive away though.

Both are a 20 minute paddle or walk from the truck once I get there, so that's a wash either way. Which option do you choose. Both will be solo missions.

I don't know what a bufflehead is, so I say the woodie shoot. I'm not a duck hunter besides the woodie ponds behind the house. Buffleheads sound like what we call fat women at work.

Plan for wood ducks, and if/when you sleep in on the alarm go for the buffleheads.

Woodducks. I personally don't waste shells on buffleheads.
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

It's going to be foggy and raining in the morning my vote is a woody hole.

Not possible. If you completed A then doing B would put you over the limit.

I'd choose buffleheads then. I wouldn't care to travel over an hour for a wood duck only shoot

You could do B then A, but I would only waste a shell on a bufflehead to fill out a diver strap.

I wouldn't even do that. About the only divers I shoot these days are canvasbacks and redheads. I'd put the smack down on some ringnecks if I knew where any were. Everything else gets a pass. I could fill a dump truck with buffleheads, ruddies, surf scoters, bluebills, and goldeneyes around here any day of the week!

Go for the woodies. Buffleheads shouldn't be shot.

I'm about to shift gears and only shoot surf scoters, bluebills, GEs and canvasbacks. Its all about the decoy and splash.

Woodducks and buffs dont do either very well.

Shooting puddle ducks is getting boring.

Malarkey, not a thing wrong with buffle beatings. When you're a bit desperate/feeling real lazy.

Because of the weather though, woodies.

    I'll eat a bufflehead in a heartbeat. I guess I'm nasty though.

My balls sweat but I shower often.
