Default The best part of the hunt

My favorite part of the hunt is the retrieve. My least favorite is picking up and/or walking out decoys, but thats not pictured here. As my girl gets older and slower, I've been trying to document more hunts so that I can look back on them in the years to come. These are a few from our last two hunts. I was really hoping to get a picture of her bringing back a black duck today, but they all landed about 20 yards too far. I don't know which I'd rather have at this point, a sunny day so that I can actually shoot some pictures, or a cold front so I'm not fighting these same stale birds.

I totally hunt for my dog. Without him, I wouldn't go to the trouble to kill a few ducks.

Love it and I will not hunt without my pup, I'll just stay my ass home.

I hardly get a chance to hunt with a dog. But when I do it's a treat. Especially when your buddy has the top dog around!

    Great looking dog.
