They were biting tonight .. biggest was a 8.5lb hammer... ended up with 5 keepers and caught easily 25 fish. Most were to small to keep.

Nice!

I know that spot. My coworker came to work today with a 5 lb'er in a cooler. He said the bite has been strong with bigger mud crabs the last few weeks.
Nice work, and to think most people think that area is "fished out".
I love these threads - I'm jealous.

Its public water.... someone is always going to know where you're at... I could care less if 10 boats were there tomorrow when I return .. I'm sure someone found it before me and other people will still be catching fish there when I'm long gone.
Very true, but it's funny how that logic only applies to fishing spots, not duck holes around here. Personally I don't want to give the whole world a road map to the last place I caught or killed something.
Damn fun!
TOO. Have fun, post pics, clean fish and enjoy. Pics at what you thought was "your" hole aren't necessary.

There is a spot very near there where I caught my first redfish. Here we are fifteen years later and you can't get in there for the boats. I'm not trying to be an ass... Well shit, I guess I am. It is just a sign of the times.
Catch 'em up and I'll come eat them. Salt and pepper to taste then breading, don't cook "TOO" long. I'll be around shortly. Electric fillet knife is the key.

I'm sure its not the first time someone has fished that bridge. Truth be told, I think you can see the people fishing when you drive over. Kinda hard to keep that a secret.
FYI--sheepshead like pylons and docks. SHOCKER
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Who knew there were fish in the ocean.
I would have never thought of fishing there.
Good work!
Good catching! Hopefully the big ones stick around inshore just a bit longer.

That is most certainly the first time I've ever seen someone use a boga-grip to hold a bream.
Good catching.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Ziggy if you're ever down this way holler at me and we will go chase some fish

And ducks like dry cornfields and pot holes, but 99.99999% on here don't know of any good ones without being spoon fed locations or general areas. Just saying "spots everyone knows of" aren't so apparent without the aid of forums....and hindsight. People are generally too lazy to give up their free time to find the truly unique opportunities in the outdoors.
Good catching guys! I hope to try them out next weekend.
