I see below on the agenda that there is interest in the flathead catfish worthy of an update or discussion. Anybody on the "in" know what this is about or where its heading by chance. Was realy curious if it was for conservation or decimation of the animal, or just the mercury levels in the edisto...... Thanks for any insight.
State wildlife, fisheries group meets Aug. 21 in Columbia
The Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Advisory Committee to the S.C. Natural Resources Board will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 in Room 335 (board room) of the Rembert C. Dennis Building located at 1000 Assembly St. in Columbia. The meeting is open to the public.
Anyone with business for the advisory committee or directions to the meeting location should contact Susan Johnson at the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in Columbia at (803) 734-3889.
Mike Hutchins of Lexington, member of the S.C. Natural Resources Board, is chairman of the Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Advisory Committee.
