    Default Perfect day

Day started off well enough since I got to work for triple time. The first shift operator in my area decided he wanted to take the holiday off, so I got to work first shift for a change. That left me time to head to the woods with a gun in my hand for the first time since turkey season.

I could see lightning in the distance when I got out the truck but before I got 75 feet from the truck I heard squealing and here came a whole herd of frying size pigs. When they got about thirty feet from me apparently they realized something was up and stopped. Bad move on their part. If I had been toting a shotgun instead of a single shot rifle it could have been brutal.

Then on the way home I spotted my Granddaughter's hero on the side of the road.

Heck yeah, overtime, dead pigs, super heros and supper waiting on me when I got home. Life is good.

That is my go to, kill everything, rifle right there. Been toting it for 25 years now. The previous owner apparently kept it behind his truck seat because there are worn spots on the end of the barrel and the forestock but it shoots where I point it everytime.

I could have gotten my picture with him as well but I didn't have a clue who he was. Besides you can't top a Ninja Turtle.

What's the No.1 chambered in? If it's 25 Bob will you sell it?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I know where a Number 1 in .25 is located in the upstate if you are interested. We just need to wait until he goes on vac...I mean, it may be a while before I can go get it.

270 and I would sell one of my kids before I sold that rifle. Or at least a grandkid anyway.
